The iPhone 15 lineup is a cut above its predecessor with its Titanium design and dynamic island helping you stay on top of everything.
Like the iPhone 14, you'll be able to get the phone in either a 6.7 or 6.1 inch display, but this time you'll get faster speeds and better overall performance thanks to the A16 or A17 bionic processor.
You'll also get super-high-resolution photos, with a 48MP primary camera included as standard on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus and be able to take better portraits with its front camera. If you were to upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, you'll get a 5x optical zoom lens.
Regardless of which new Apple phone you choose, the lightning cable is a thing of the past, with Apple switching back to USB-C.

Buying a smartphone outright and choosing a cheap plan is usually a way to save money when you get the latest tech. But it does come with the disadvantage of a large upfront investment.
If you're looking for a new phone that won't break the bank, you're usually best off going with the base model, with the smallest amount of storage.
Take the new iPhone 15 as an example. There's 4 models you can choose from being the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
While a 128GB iPhone 15 will cost $1,499, on the other side of the scale, the iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB will cost $2,899. As you can see, you can pay almost half by choosing the base model with less storage, compared with the top of the range phone.
The iPhone 14 took a leap in size, with a 6.1 to 6.7 inch display and offers improvements on its camera and satellite connectivity compared with its predecessor.
The iPhone 14 is powered by Apple's A15 or A16 Bionic chip, which helps increase performance and offer stronger efficiency compared to the previous generations of iPhones.
The phone also offers an advanced camera system for better photos, action mode for videos and a Ceramic Shield, making the glass tougher compared with previous phones.
If you were to purchase this phone from the big 3 telcos, you might only be able to buy the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, as the Pro and Pro Max models have been discontinued.
The iPhone 13 showed improvement in battery life compared to the iPhone 12, with its lightning-fast A14 or A15 Bionic Chip with 4-core GPU helping to improve the overall performance of the phone.
The phone comes in 2 sizes, giving you either a 6.1 or 5.4 inch display.
It boasts an advanced 12MP dual-camera system, access to 5G networks, up to 19 hours in video playback and a cinematic mode that allows you to autonomically focus videos.
If you were to purchase this phone from the big 3 telcos, you may only be able to buy the iPhone 13 as the rest of the range has been discontinued.
It's pretty rare to see an iPhone plan with a deal running, but if you're looking to sign up to an iPhone plan, Vodafone and Optus are running a few promotions this month:

The only thing to keep in mind is that Telstra's phone plans are on the pricier side compared to the other networks. Compare your options and make sure you're choosing a plan that suits your budget and needs.

Optus offers a wide range of iPhone plans to pair one of its mobile plans with including the iPhone 15, iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 11 and iPhone SE.
Signing up to an iPhone plan with Vodafone means you'll get access to the following:
Vodafone boasts some of the cheapest iPhone plans in Australia thanks to its lower priced mobile plans. Its plans are often running double data deals as well so you can get even more value when you pick one up at the right time.
The actual recommended retail price from Apple or Telstra won't change, so if you bought the phone from either retailer you'd theoretically be in the same spot.
However, Telstra does not offer the cheapest plans going around. In fact, it is one of the most expensive mobile operators.
This means you could save money by purchasing the phone outright from Apple and finding a cheaper SIM-only plan with another provider to pair with it.
This is also the case for Optus and Vodafone. Again the value of the phone won't change, but you can save if you were to find a cheaper plan.

While we don’t have a Finder page that covers SIM-only plans for iPhone X, you can use any SIM-only plans, given that it meets the size requirement for your device, on your iPhone once it’s unlocked. Some iPhones will only work with a SIM card provided to the carrier they’re locked to. If you purchased your iPhone within the past few years, it’s likely to be unlocked. If your iPhone is older than that, it might be locked to a particular network. For you to be able to freely use any SIM, you need to network unlock your mobile phone.
