Hi Carol,
According to Bendigo’s terms and conditions, they have a process that allows electronic verification of identity.

Hello, I’m interested in applying for the above credit card with Bendigo Bank .
One of the conditions to receive overseas travel insurance is to pay for return airline tickets with the credit card. I’m a retired airline employee with the Qantas Group. In most cases I’m unable to buy a return ticket, as my travel is dependent on loadings for my flight on a particular day of travel I choose. This can change if loadings are heavy.
Therefore is it possible to apply for this credit card and receive the benefits.
Many thanks.

Hi Moira,
To activate your travel insurance, you simply need to spend a minimum of $500 of your prepaid travel costs before leaving Australia. This doesn’t need to be on flights; it could be accomodation, tours, car hire, transfers etc. It can also be accumulated, eg $300 on hotels and $200 on car hire. You may want to purchase refundable accomodation so you can activate your insurance, but amend/cancel the accomodation it if your flight plans change?
Hope this helps!

Hi, can I apply for personal use and can I withdraw the money?

Yes, this is a personal card not a credit card. You can withdraw money from this card, but you’ll be charged interest of 19.99% immediately, which is a very high interest rate. If you need access to cash, a personal loan might be more affordable.
Hope this helps!
